At the heart of the Summer Camp is an arts-integrated curriculum that engages all of the senses to build cultural competencies and unlock new, vibrant understandings of academic content. With partners like the Denver Zoo, Denver Botanic Gardens and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Summer Camp students will be exposed to expertise on the environment and art and culture. Our scientific community partners will work hand in hand with Museo for our students to gain firsthand knowledge and applicable skills on the environment and culture.

Children are the most influential communicators, and the Summer Arts + Culture Camp vision will be to educate children on biodiversity, art and culture with fun and interactive knowledge and tools that they will acquire. Through Museo’s innovative Summer Camp program students will gain valuable experience and knowledge on the environment of Nicaragua and their own place as citizens on planet Earth.

Museo will guarantee a high-quality education experience via our cultural arts tools and programming. Students will uncover the country of Nicaragua through experiences that will be collaborative, reflective and deeply motivating. Aligned with the Common Core State Standards, Museo’s art objectives are woven together with non-arts academic objectives to stimulate higher level thinking and develop dual content knowledge. Summer Camp is led by experienced educators committed to providing authentic, meaningful experiences.
