Monsters have permeated literature throughout the centuries, but are they more than bloodthirsty villains? Writers will examine a few classic monsters (think Frankenstein, Jaws, Godzilla, and Aliens) to discover what is interesting about having a main character who’s mean and--maybe--misunderstood, and students will create their own monsters and villains, and tell their stories, too. Writers will learn about character, plot, and other literary elements in this creative writing workshop. Presented by Lighthouse Writers at Kent Denver.
