Have fun with Shakespeare this summer in this two-week English intensive, active, thoroughly enjoyable, “deep-dive” course. The centerpieces of this class will be two of Shakespeare’s hilarious and wonderful classic comedies: Midsummer Night’s Dream and All’s Well that Ends Well. Students will read, journal, write reviews and their own criticism and speeches, and perhaps try their hand at a little acting. And they will consider why Shakespeare is considered one of the greatest authors who ever lived and why Shakespearean plays continue to be a central feature of high school English curricula everywhere. Kent Denver is excited to offer this exciting and transformational educational experience! This course fulfills one semester of English for the Kent Denver graduation requirement. Kent students who pass it will have their grade appear on the KDS transcript and count as part of KDS GPA.
